My Apologies...

I feel the need to say some sorrys here. I know there's not a lot of you out there at the moment, but I must say I am sorry for my absence on here for the past few months. I forgot my proper Blogger login email, so I kept trying to edit this site through the wrong email, which would not work, obviously. I was very confused to say the least. When I finally figured it out, I felt stupid and pissed off. But I'm back, so get ready...

If this FIRST NEW TRACK IN THREE YEARS is any indication, we got a lot of good things coming our way to look forward to! Strap in and just go with the flow! You know it's funky, and you know you can find it on SoundCloud, Bandcamp, or as always, just click on the pic to find it in many other places!Stay tuned for more everybody, because there is MUCH more to come. Triumphant return!!! AND Name change!!!

Greetings everybody! I would love to welcome you to into this new year and thank you all very much for being here in it with me! I hope everything over the past three or so years has been good to you. I wold like to tell you all a little bit about my time so you know why we have been absent for so long, that way we're all on the same page. Honesty is the best policy in my opinion

I am a drug addict. Have been for, give or take, twelve or so years. It has caused me many a problem in my personal and professional lives. No need for too many details, on what I did or how I did anything, but just to give you a bit more background, that is how DJ Wraith and I met. We ran in the same circles of drug users, and it just so happened that we both shared a deep-seeded love and passion for music, and the same ideas for music production and promotion. Thus, what we have now was born, but unfortunately, our shared drug abuse came to a head the beginning of 2020, and once COVID shut everything down, us using together became the only staple of our day-to-day lives. Therefore, the management side of MoFoYa Productions suffered, as well as part of the production side. Sponge would attest to the fact that he could not get a hold of either of us at all after a certain point.

At the end of 2020, November 4 to be exact, I entered drug rehab to better myself and free myself of the demons that held me fast. I was at the Sante Center For Healing in Argyle, TX for 60 days, came out clean and sober, and have been since. Wraith did not attend rehab, but got himself straightened out on his own. Also, for the record, I do have his permission to be sharing this information about him with you all. I am proud of him and proud of myself. Our lifestyles were hindering our ability to do what we both love. It wasn't zen and it wasn't OK anymore. So we both did something about it!

And so now we return triumphantly! All of us, including Sponge! A new year and a new MoFoYa Productions! Literally! We're still going to be doing the same thing we've always done and bring you some good shit, but what we're talking is..... NAME CHANGE! We love MoFoYa, we really do, because there really is MORE FOR YOU her (lol) and MOTHERFUCKER YEAH!,but we truly felt that a different, more generally-inclusive name would be a great way to start off the new us!

So what we came up with is...da da da daaa! BANGERZZ&MASH! It's perfect, I know! Let me know what you guys think! Get excited! We're excited as fuck, because there is a lot that is going to be happening here coming up soon! New stuff has already been happening! The name change will take effect here in the next couple of weeks or so!Get ready for it guys, it is gonna blow your minds!

DJ WRAITH TRACK NEW ANOTHER

Who likes some chill ambient music?! DJ Wraith certainly does, so he decided to try his hand at making something legitimately ambient. The creation that came out of his attempt is what we would like to call PSYCHEDELIC TRANSMISSIONS. He would tell you it's nothing special, but do not listen to him. This one will chill you out and leave you wondering what you heard and where it came from! Check it out in the usual places:    SoundCloud      Bandcamp

The Camera Formerly Known As Psychedelic

Now the last time I put up any SONGS FOR YOUR HEAD was in June regrettably, June 2 to be exact. It is now November, if you were not already aware, so that means it has been 5 MONTHS since the last time I had some music stuck in my head! I know, unacceptable!! Of course, I have still had music playing in my head and some songs in particular managing to embed themselves in my cerebral cortex for a period of time. I will say, though, that it has not been as much as of late, nor has it been continuously like it once was. This is not because of the music, but because my mind has been lacking in music due to my own general lack of motivation. I have been working on the positive thinking and I am doing better with my productivity and thought patterns. Life sure is a bitch sometimes, but what I have found is that that is not a good excuse. We all have our moments, but when you are down, you end up doing yourself no favors as well as everyone that is around you and everyone that you care about. Simple as that. Music is my life, as well as really good medicine, so I figured it was about time to get back to it!
So the first song for your head since I am back is "Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo" by The Grateful Dead, one of my favorite tunes from the Dead. It is the studio version, which some might say is blasphemy, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and that is my preferred version. For this installment, I did not create an original piece of digital art for the video. I recorded a video on my phone of a Grateful Dead tapestry that looks like a psychedelic pinball machine from the 60s:

To make things all interesting and trippy, I recorded said video using the app Psychedelic Camera. This free app allows you to take pictures and shoot video just like your normal camera phone app, but with a colorful twist. This app allows you to add a psychedelic filter as well as trippy special effects to any picture or video you take. They go pretty in depth too, which makes the app one of the best and and one you should have. Needless to say, it is a resource that gives me more of a capability to create more eventful and involved videos, which I am all about! I say, when you have the time, check out that fun and useful app, as well as my video on YouTube! Here's to looking and moving forward!

ANOTHER NEW TRACK FROM DJ WRAITH

While we have been forced to sit around and still bide our time waiting for that damn BRIDGE to appear (yeah I'm lookin' at you Mr. Sponge lol), DJ Wraith comes back around to help us with that endeavor. He does that of course with a new track that I must say is very catchy. He likes to call it "H.S.S," which stands for HOUSE SAX SEX, and that is certainly what it is if you're into that kind of thing! Really nice alto sax and piano bytes in there that you will just have to get up dance to. Just try and fight it, I dare you! Seriously, go listen to it on either SoundCloud, Bandcamp, or any of the other numerous places where "H.S.S (House Sax Sex)" can be found and see if you can resist the urge to get down!

NEW TRACK FROM DJ WRAITH

DJ Wraith has been hard at work putting some new sounds together. We were all wondering when he was going to drop something new, and lo and behold, he finally has! And this one is a doozy, if you will. It is titled "I've Missed So Much..." and it is what Wraith himself has aptly dubbed some modern acid hip-hop. It has a very deep sound that has almost kind of a chill vibe to it. You can listen to it on SoundCloud, Bandcamp, or just click on the image to find it in many other places. Trust me, you will not regret it.

¡¡COLORS!!

I've been following this weekly art series on LinkedIn for a while now. Felt the need to bring them all together in one place so everyone could appreciate the beauty that the original curator, Sramana Mitra, brings to light. I am all about deep contemplation, especially when it comes to art of any kind. I would like to believe that I am a "Renaissance mind" and I am also of the mind that we all have the ability to transcend the everyday mundane and be "Renaissance mind" thinkers. If anybody feels the desire to prove me right, take part in Ms. Mitra little experiment and leave your thoughts on any of the works of art as comments. I look forward to hopefully reading some deep, emotional thoughts. Surprise me. Better yet, surprise yourselves...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from MoFoYa Productions!

Well, we made it. It has been a long, unpredictable year but we all made it. Now I know all of you are saying, "But SOURCE, you guys have only been a thing since March! You guys could not possibly be feeling the same exhaustion I'm feeling, having missed the first two months of the year! Everyone knows the hardest part of any year is always the first two months!" Even if that were true, we here at MoFoYa Productions have felt that same crunch. HARD. I swear, when my motivation to write decides to return, I'm gonna write a book about our first year as a company. I have not been 100% candid about everything that has happened on this side of the screen this year. Outside of it being unnecessary, no one has asked. Believe me, believable or not, these past ten months have been some of the most trying of my life, and they would play very well as a book. I will see what I can do in terms of that, but I assure everyone, we and I feel everything that you are feeling about the end of the year. The passage of time. The uncertainty of the future. The promise of things that have yet to drop. These are the days to take it slow and appreciate. It has been a rough year. But of course we are just starting out here. The saying goes that it's not about the destination, it's about the journey. I think we have done pretty good for ourselves. And of course, there is no shutdown or break for us, just as there ain't no rest for the wicked. So I wouldn't be surprised if we roll out a few other bites before the end of the year. The universe knows no time. One of these days we'll swap stories. Until then, a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year from all of us here at MoFoYa Productions!

People Sure Do Like It When Things Rhyme....

None of us here are really what any would call poets or poetry enthusiasts. Seriously. That does not mean that we cannot still have some appreciation for an art form older than most and one that has gotten more people laid than the saxophone. I would assume. DJ Wraith has decided to start a nice little repository of beautiful words and attempts at art and culture. Apparently he's got a thing for haikus and Japanese art. Funniest thing about that is that he probably dislikes poetry the most out of all of us here :) Go figure.

Check it out on his Twitter feed. Bust out some Phish albums and chill like you're back in college! Got some stuff you want to have immortalized and added to the collection? Don't be afraid to message it to us. There is most likely not anything we would turn away. One thing we know for sure here is that everyone has something worth saying....

Hiatus My-Anus

Eyes forever fixed on the horizon....

After a "slight" hiatus, our resident DJ SOURCE finally gets back to work with his tenth show to date! If you have yet to check out what's coming out FROM BEHIND the BUREAU, you must not exist within reality, because I'm not so sure that that is even possible! There is a hell of a lot of stuff just seepin' out from under this guy's fingertips and even more so in terms of the instrument(s) he plays. Gotta love what they are doing with the future sounds nowadays! He has stated that his plan is to continue exploring the rabbit hole that is his musical tastes, so as to better stay in line with the original weekly offering schedule. Also he will now be releasing shows weekly again. So there's that. And whatever else there is. So much more to come! Don't say we never gave you anything though...

COMING ATTRACTIONS

So I was hoping that it was inevitable that somebody would set me up by hearing the track in FBtB006, seeing the the track on the track listing and asking me "Have you made some kind of mistake? I find no record of this 'Juvenile Sponge' or his alleged track. What gives?" I suppose we're not at that point yet...but we press forward anyway! Either way, if you have'nt guessed it by now, yes, we have FINALLY settled an agreement with another new artist. And he is the aforementioned JUVENILE SPONGE. He is a brand new artist from none other than New York City! He describes himself as primarily drum'n'bass, breakbeat, glitch, lo-fi, and overall experimental. His debut single is a nice little d'n'b track titled "F.M.S". He did not mention what that stands for, if anything at all, but I have my ideas...
According to him, "F.M.S" is the only track he's got right now, but he is working on an EP entitled This Is the Bridge. He anticipates its release sometime in the first half of 2019. He also said that he will release another single from it at some point before the end of the year. Still working on his page for here. You'll see it when it's up and I will post as well. I told him he needs to grab on a Soundcloud account. He has yet to do so, but I'll get on him.

You might be wondering how we got somebody from New York being stationed in Texas. I've done some touring previously in multiple states. I am originally from Texas but I have done shows in Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico. He is an acquaintance I had the pleasure of meeting while in Arkansas. He was doing a headlining set at the club by motel room, and I had a chance to talk to him after his set. We had a few beers and exchanged information because I am constantly networking. I forgot about him honestly. You meet a lot of people on the road, and while I was doing actual live shows I was constantly moving. The only place I actually ever lived in was Colorado because that's where I chose to start out. Naturally he faded into the chaos that was my life. When we got this little project started almost two months ago, for whatever reason, he was the first one that popped into my head as a viable option. Took us a while to finalize paperwork (don't look at me lol) but we got it, so please give a warm welcome to Juvenile Sponge!

R.I.P Tim "Avicii" Bergling 1989-2018

Today is a mixed bag folks. We got episode 004 of FROM BEHIND the BUREAU that just dropped yesterday, and today, yet another track from DJ Wraith. This one is a trance tune titled "Green Moon." We're also currently working on possibly bringing in another musical act. But on the other hand yesterday, April 20, 2018, we lost someone who we all know and love very well. Swedish house producer Tim Bergling, better known by his stage name Avicii, passed away yesterday. He did some work with David Guetta and brought us monster hits such as "Without You" and "Levels" just to name a few. He was a damn good producer and an amazing artist in his own right. He was only 28 years old.

We got a decent amount going on around here, but when I heard the news that we had lost Avicii, it killed most of the good feelings I had. I loved his work and had actually managed to see him live once. I must say that I respected him as a producer and certainly find him to be an influence on my work. I hate that we always must lose ones so talented so young. He had retired from touring a few years back and I remember not even knowing why. It was apparently because he had acute pancreatitis. There was no listed cause of death at the time of my hearing about it, but I can only assume its because of that or complications from. He will be sorely missed, by me and so many others.

Needless to say, we here at MoFoYa Productions extend sympathies to the family and will mourn his presence in the music community. I would like to dedicate episode 004 of my show FBtB to Avicii and his legacy. DJ Wraith would also like to do the same for his track "Green Moon."

YouTube Official

We finally got our YouTube channel finalized and now have it up for everyone to drink in its splendor! We are slowly but surely uploading the videos for all of the content we have thus far, which is current tracks for DJ Wraith and all released episodes of FROM BEHIND the BUREAU. We might put together some small video productions just for the time being, but everyone needs to get settled here and make their way to the video productions page and make their voice heard! One way or another we will eventually be getting started on our first large series here in a bit, feedback or no feedback. The internet waits for no one! Enjoy what is put together so far, we shall speak soon!

Page-ception

DJ Wraith's page on this site is up! Don't forget to check it out! We also got a train of Facebook pages going! Like them! Don't even think about it, just do it! It is only up from here folks. Next stop YouTube!

We Want You!

Got a new page on the website today, the page that will serve to eventually enumerate the vast catalog of videos and series we look forward to putting together in our time. Not quite anything on it just yet; small pieces will always be a part of the big picture but the larger productions will be what keep our name in your head, and we want all of you to share in the creative process starting off! So when you get the chance, pop on over to that page, read a little about our videos philosophy, and leave us a comment responding to our questions giving us some feedback on what it is you want and you think! Look forward to reading the responses! Give us something good!

And So It Begins....

Hello everybody, and welcome to what looks to be the inception of a fun little adventure into art production! This is MoFoYa Productions, a quaint, little up-and-coming production company out of Fort Worth, TX that is if nothing else, already existing on the cutting edge. Outside of our soon to be YouTube page, this is our home. I am co-founder and one of the resident DJs featured on this company's lineup, you can call me SOURCE. I could not be more happy to be spending my time putting this production company on the map! Not only is the true founder of the company a good friend of mine, but I just just started releasing my new DJ mix broadcast show, FROM BEHIND the BUREAU, last Friday! So now I get a little bit more of a platform for spreading my own wings and tooting my own horn, while at the same time I also get to work with so many new and talented people! I love community! It fosters things and ideas such as MFYproductions. I cannot wait to take this journey with all of you out there!

That being said, things are tight for all of us right now, so more is to come in the coming days, but please bear with us. This site is still slightly under construction, as is the aforementioned YouTube channel. There is always light at the other end of the tunnel, and there is always something to keep you busy in the meantime. I got the first episode of FROM BEHIND the BUREAU out for all to hear and episode 002 landing this Friday! So check that show out on my page!

And you should also check out our other current featured artist, DJ Wraith. The dude is borderline crazy and also a good friend of mine! His page is not quite up on here yet, so for now, you can find more of him from his Twitter feed, Wraith @premiere_jonas
I'll let everyone know when his page is complete so you can peep him properly.

Also, remember that you guys are apart of this just as much as I am. Without you, there is no us. Your feedback is always critical to what we end up doing and determines in what direction we go. Please, always feel free to give input, let us know what you think, and tell us what we could do better. We are also here if you need to talk, but without degrees in psychotherapy, there are no guarantees! :)

Here's to the future!....
