My Apologies...

I feel the need to say some sorrys here. I know there's not a lot of you out there at the moment, but I must say I am sorry for my absence on here for the past few months. I forgot my proper Blogger login email, so I kept trying to edit this site through the wrong email, which would not work, obviously. I was very confused to say the least. When I finally figured it out, I felt stupid and pissed off. But I'm back, so get ready...

If this FIRST NEW TRACK IN THREE YEARS is any indication, we got a lot of good things coming our way to look forward to! Strap in and just go with the flow! You know it's funky, and you know you can find it on SoundCloud, Bandcamp, or as always, just click on the pic to find it in many other places!Stay tuned for more everybody, because there is MUCH more to come. Triumphant return!!! AND Name change!!!

Greetings everybody! I would love to welcome you to into this new year and thank you all very much for being here in it with me! I hope everything over the past three or so years has been good to you. I wold like to tell you all a little bit about my time so you know why we have been absent for so long, that way we're all on the same page. Honesty is the best policy in my opinion

I am a drug addict. Have been for, give or take, twelve or so years. It has caused me many a problem in my personal and professional lives. No need for too many details, on what I did or how I did anything, but just to give you a bit more background, that is how DJ Wraith and I met. We ran in the same circles of drug users, and it just so happened that we both shared a deep-seeded love and passion for music, and the same ideas for music production and promotion. Thus, what we have now was born, but unfortunately, our shared drug abuse came to a head the beginning of 2020, and once COVID shut everything down, us using together became the only staple of our day-to-day lives. Therefore, the management side of MoFoYa Productions suffered, as well as part of the production side. Sponge would attest to the fact that he could not get a hold of either of us at all after a certain point.

At the end of 2020, November 4 to be exact, I entered drug rehab to better myself and free myself of the demons that held me fast. I was at the Sante Center For Healing in Argyle, TX for 60 days, came out clean and sober, and have been since. Wraith did not attend rehab, but got himself straightened out on his own. Also, for the record, I do have his permission to be sharing this information about him with you all. I am proud of him and proud of myself. Our lifestyles were hindering our ability to do what we both love. It wasn't zen and it wasn't OK anymore. So we both did something about it!

And so now we return triumphantly! All of us, including Sponge! A new year and a new MoFoYa Productions! Literally! We're still going to be doing the same thing we've always done and bring you some good shit, but what we're talking is..... NAME CHANGE! We love MoFoYa, we really do, because there really is MORE FOR YOU her (lol) and MOTHERFUCKER YEAH!,but we truly felt that a different, more generally-inclusive name would be a great way to start off the new us!

So what we came up with is...da da da daaa! BANGERZZ&MASH! It's perfect, I know! Let me know what you guys think! Get excited! We're excited as fuck, because there is a lot that is going to be happening here coming up soon! New stuff has already been happening! The name change will take effect here in the next couple of weeks or so!Get ready for it guys, it is gonna blow your minds!

DJ WRAITH TRACK NEW ANOTHER

Who likes some chill ambient music?! DJ Wraith certainly does, so he decided to try his hand at making something legitimately ambient. The creation that came out of his attempt is what we would like to call PSYCHEDELIC TRANSMISSIONS. He would tell you it's nothing special, but do not listen to him. This one will chill you out and leave you wondering what you heard and where it came from! Check it out in the usual places:    SoundCloud      Bandcamp

The Camera Formerly Known As Psychedelic

Now the last time I put up any SONGS FOR YOUR HEAD was in June regrettably, June 2 to be exact. It is now November, if you were not already aware, so that means it has been 5 MONTHS since the last time I had some music stuck in my head! I know, unacceptable!! Of course, I have still had music playing in my head and some songs in particular managing to embed themselves in my cerebral cortex for a period of time. I will say, though, that it has not been as much as of late, nor has it been continuously like it once was. This is not because of the music, but because my mind has been lacking in music due to my own general lack of motivation. I have been working on the positive thinking and I am doing better with my productivity and thought patterns. Life sure is a bitch sometimes, but what I have found is that that is not a good excuse. We all have our moments, but when you are down, you end up doing yourself no favors as well as everyone that is around you and everyone that you care about. Simple as that. Music is my life, as well as really good medicine, so I figured it was about time to get back to it!
So the first song for your head since I am back is "Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo" by The Grateful Dead, one of my favorite tunes from the Dead. It is the studio version, which some might say is blasphemy, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and that is my preferred version. For this installment, I did not create an original piece of digital art for the video. I recorded a video on my phone of a Grateful Dead tapestry that looks like a psychedelic pinball machine from the 60s:

To make things all interesting and trippy, I recorded said video using the app Psychedelic Camera. This free app allows you to take pictures and shoot video just like your normal camera phone app, but with a colorful twist. This app allows you to add a psychedelic filter as well as trippy special effects to any picture or video you take. They go pretty in depth too, which makes the app one of the best and and one you should have. Needless to say, it is a resource that gives me more of a capability to create more eventful and involved videos, which I am all about! I say, when you have the time, check out that fun and useful app, as well as my video on YouTube! Here's to looking and moving forward!

ANOTHER NEW TRACK FROM DJ WRAITH

While we have been forced to sit around and still bide our time waiting for that damn BRIDGE to appear (yeah I'm lookin' at you Mr. Sponge lol), DJ Wraith comes back around to help us with that endeavor. He does that of course with a new track that I must say is very catchy. He likes to call it "H.S.S," which stands for HOUSE SAX SEX, and that is certainly what it is if you're into that kind of thing! Really nice alto sax and piano bytes in there that you will just have to get up dance to. Just try and fight it, I dare you! Seriously, go listen to it on either SoundCloud, Bandcamp, or any of the other numerous places where "H.S.S (House Sax Sex)" can be found and see if you can resist the urge to get down!

NEW TRACK FROM DJ WRAITH

DJ Wraith has been hard at work putting some new sounds together. We were all wondering when he was going to drop something new, and lo and behold, he finally has! And this one is a doozy, if you will. It is titled "I've Missed So Much..." and it is what Wraith himself has aptly dubbed some modern acid hip-hop. It has a very deep sound that has almost kind of a chill vibe to it. You can listen to it on SoundCloud, Bandcamp, or just click on the image to find it in many other places. Trust me, you will not regret it.

¡¡COLORS!!

I've been following this weekly art series on LinkedIn for a while now. Felt the need to bring them all together in one place so everyone could appreciate the beauty that the original curator, Sramana Mitra, brings to light. I am all about deep contemplation, especially when it comes to art of any kind. I would like to believe that I am a "Renaissance mind" and I am also of the mind that we all have the ability to transcend the everyday mundane and be "Renaissance mind" thinkers. If anybody feels the desire to prove me right, take part in Ms. Mitra little experiment and leave your thoughts on any of the works of art as comments. I look forward to hopefully reading some deep, emotional thoughts. Surprise me. Better yet, surprise yourselves...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from MoFoYa Productions!

Well, we made it. It has been a long, unpredictable year but we all made it. Now I know all of you are saying, "But SOURCE, you guys have only been a thing since March! You guys could not possibly be feeling the same exhaustion I'm feeling, having missed the first two months of the year! Everyone knows the hardest part of any year is always the first two months!" Even if that were true, we here at MoFoYa Productions have felt that same crunch. HARD. I swear, when my motivation to write decides to return, I'm gonna write a book about our first year as a company. I have not been 100% candid about everything that has happened on this side of the screen this year. Outside of it being unnecessary, no one has asked. Believe me, believable or not, these past ten months have been some of the most trying of my life, and they would play very well as a book. I will see what I can do in terms of that, but I assure everyone, we and I feel everything that you are feeling about the end of the year. The passage of time. The uncertainty of the future. The promise of things that have yet to drop. These are the days to take it slow and appreciate. It has been a rough year. But of course we are just starting out here. The saying goes that it's not about the destination, it's about the journey. I think we have done pretty good for ourselves. And of course, there is no shutdown or break for us, just as there ain't no rest for the wicked. So I wouldn't be surprised if we roll out a few other bites before the end of the year. The universe knows no time. One of these days we'll swap stories. Until then, a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year from all of us here at MoFoYa Productions!
